Creator Fees
The fee stream belongs to the market.
- Cap
- 0.50% (50 bps)
- Composer default
- 0.40% (40 bps)
- Recipients
- 1 to 4 addresses
- Applies to
- both sides of a swap
- Denominated in
- the market's quote asset
The creator fee is taken on the quote side of every trade and credited to the market's configured recipients on their fixed weights. It accrues in the vault, per market and per token, and is claimed by the recipients.
Three components, one accrual
The creator's share of a swap is the sum of three things, and they are credited together:
| Component | When |
|---|---|
| creator fee | every swap |
| launch tax | buys, while it is still decaying |
| anti-snipe extra fee | buys, inside the anti-snipe window |
The launch tax and anti-snipe fee route to the creator because the creator chose those rules. That means the effective creator take in the first blocks of a market can be much higher than 0.50% — which is exactly why the composer shows total buy-side drag as one number rather than a list of rates.
Claiming
claimCreator(poolId, token) pays the caller their share of that market's accrued creator fees in that token. A recipient can only claim their own weighted share; there is no function that lets one recipient take another's.
